Topic : Beauty contests are always considered to be where women's beauty is honored. What do u think about that?

Debaters : Pro : Thuy - Con : Du Linh

Audience : Lan Tran, Thuy Linh, Bao Long



Du Linh’ s key points ( CON ) :
- Pageant is only a chance
+ to get attention from the world to the country which hosts it
+ for big company to get financial benefit through commercials or ads



Thủy' s key points ( PRO ) :
- Pageant is not only a big opportunity for a young girl to show the whole world who she really is but also a target to achieve in her life time



Rebuttal

- Thuy attacked Du Linh on Linh's "financial benefit" by stating an example about "ads used in football match". She also gave our her opinion, as the following : ads is not bad. It's the way to do it, counts

- Linh gave an example about commercialism.

- Then, they misunderstood with each other ( Actually I was lost here. They were off-topic. Híc, they talked about stuffs such as 'volunteer" or the way Vietnam was hosting the Miss Universe 2008 , ... )
